Live Music Detroit is the web presence of Detroit Musicians Entertainment.
For nearly 25 years, the professional musicians of Detroit Musicians Entertainment have provided Metro Detroit with the finest live music available in southeast Michigan. How have we done this? We are the referral service for the Detroit Federation of Musicians, the tenth largest and third oldest union of professional musicians in the United States. Founded in 1881 as the Detroit Musicians’ Mutual Protective Union, the Detroit Federation of Musicians, AFM Local 5, proudly represent the musicians of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Michigan Opera Theatre, the Detroit Opera House, the Fisher Theatre, the Fox Theatre, the Detroit Jazz Festival, the Michigan Philharmonic, and the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra, among others.
Our musicians are among the finest in the country and excel in every variety of music. They can be heard on recordings, television, movie soundtracks, in nightclubs, and on stage backing up legendary performers of jazz, rock, pop, and classical music.
